Elite Engineering introduces the On Target 3D Camera for robotic and automation guidance, verification and metrology applications.

The On Target system is based upon the use of active fiducials to acquire precision position information. Fiducials come with a number of options, one of which are those that can also provide roll, pitch and yaw information.

Each fiducial has a unique ID that is addressed by the camera. Multiple fiducials may be simultaneously tracked as the camera implements algorithms to spatially separate out each fiducial should FOV clutter reach levels of potential interference.
Operation of the system requires only a simple RS232 interface. A simple text based command is sent to trigger camera operation. Once the image is captured and processed, the resulting XYZ coordinates are returned. Simple as that.

No frame grabber cards to add to a PC, no special drivers. Everything is self contained within the camera which operates at with high level commands and responses.

One of the available commands allow Users to modify camera operation to tradeoff acquisition rate vs accuracy. When needed, Users can reduce output tolerances by selecting various levels of averaging.
